Sustainability and environmental awareness - not just empty words at ISGUS

Environmental pollution, climate change and resource scarcity affect us all. Companies have a special responsibility here. We have to make decisions today that will have a positive impact on tomorrow. At ISGUS, we have internalised this responsibility. Sustainability is not a buzzword for us, but a guiding principle that determines all our actions. Sustainability is not an option for us, but an obligation.

From the initial idea to the finished product, the environmental concept accompanies our processes. Our products are developed with the best knowledge and expertise - not only to meet the highest quality standards, but also to be durable. This is why we consciously avoid environmentally harmful substances in the manufacture of our terminals and focus on quality. Our remarkably low warranty rate of less than 1% shows that we are on the right track with this conviction. For us, this is more than just a number - it is proof that our customers trust us and can rely on ISGUS products.

Intelligent technology for a sustainable future
Our ZEUS® Time and Attendance and multifunctional terminals incorporate a number of technical masterpieces that minimise energy consumption. An intelligent energy-saving mode reduces power consumption by up to 50%. In addition, we use voltage converters in our access terminals that achieve an efficiency of up to 95%.

Longevity instead of electronic waste
A key element of our sustainability strategy is the longevity of our products. Our terminals have a modular design so that the entire device does not have to be replaced in the event of a fault. Individual components can simply be replaced - this conserves resources and avoids unnecessary electronic waste. In addition, our older devices are compatible with new software versions in most cases, which further extends their service life and minimises the need for new devices.

Efficient production processes and long-term partnerships
For us, sustainability also means organising production processes in such a way that they have as little impact on the environment as possible. One example of this is the assembly of printed circuit boards, which takes place directly in-house. This avoids unnecessary transport routes and high CO₂ emissions. By stockpiling all the components we need in advance, we are able to deliver even in times of crisis, such as recently during the coronavirus pandemic. Our long-standing relationships with suppliers who recognise and share our high quality standards also contribute to sustainability. They are partners we can rely on to develop the best products for our customers.

Renewable energy and commitment to the highest standards
In 2023, we expanded our photovoltaic system by a further 230 kWp. This will enable us to generate a large proportion of our electricity requirements from renewable sources. Our two redundant data centres for our cloud users are also completely climate-neutral - another step towards a sustainable future. It goes without saying that our products also fulfil all relevant EU regulations. Our IT 8210 time recording terminal complies with the strict standards and guidelines in the areas of health, safety and EMC as well as the radio equipment and RoHS directives - proof that we do not compromise when it comes to quality and safety.

Together into the future
We at ISGUS have a great responsibility. With our multifunctional terminals and our ZEUS® Workforce Management modules, we offer far more than just Time and Attendance. Our terminals interact seamlessly with access readers, locking cylinders and hardware readers, providing a comprehensive and environmentally friendly solution for any working environment.

We don't just think about ourselves, but above all about the next generation. Every day, we work to make the world a better place - through environmentally friendly innovations, sustainable production processes and compliance with the highest standards. Our vision of a better future is in every one of our products. By developing environmentally friendly technologies and integrating them into our processes, we are actively shaping a future worth living for our customers and for future generations.
